    Browsing your work I was struck by this one and its earlier stages. It inspired this poem:

    Amazing. Although I’m not a native english speaker with limited capabilities to fully get every detail, I immediately got the idea of this poem. I was thinking about my fathers experiences during WW2 having intruded my mind in order to understand the motif of this painting which appeared as a dream first. I do not how this intrusion is happening but it happens.

      I don’t know if that’s what you intended, but it seemed so close to illustrating the way the disillusionment of the first world war was transmitted to the next generation. They had their parents’ sense of injustice thrust upon them, a dishonour that it was their duty to put right.
