K1.

A prototype of a series of clones named “K” from the last century developed by Soft machine Inc. These clones were optimized for pattern recognition and associative learning. Therefore they had an wide range of applications like communication design or visual art. The main disadvantages were extremely high costs due a long training period of the neural network typically 15 years until the capabilities were sufficient. Since then virtual algorithms running on quantum computers did improve constantly and did achieve skills even higher in that range of application. As the typical MTBF (mean time between failure) of “K” is about 75 years only few copies are still in use. This prototype has been preserved by the MIT museum in Massachusetts in 2009 and is available for watching to the public since then.
